Present day -
Jewel Seymour has overcome many obstacles during her thirty years as a psychic. Most recently, her skills have been enlisted by the police to help with missing persons, though sometimes mothers and fathers require Jewel's assistance to find their missing children. Jewel's career has unfortunately exposed her to dangerous people, but she has yet to meet the most nefarious of them all - Brock Simms. As Katherin Hampton, Jewel must quickly learn to navigate this new place and time, including a forced marriage to the Count of Sussex. To do this, Jewel must stay one step ahead of the scheming Count of Sussex, outwit him, and counter his ruthlessness. How will she manage her new life, and can she survive?
